What I found of special value, however, is your pertinent analysis of the plot and your comments on characterisation. You'd obviously gone to great trouble to 'get into' this author's mind to elaborate on aspects that had eluded me.

This is the second manuscript you've assessed for me and I'll be back when I've developed Arnie into a novel along the lines you suggested.
